I got a surprise fish in some I received through the post last week, a small African Cichlid which I think is a neolamprologus mulifasciatus. The lfs will take him but it's going to be a few days before I can deliver and I'm getting concerned about whether been in water with a pH of 7 - 7.2 will harm the little chap. He seems OK so far.
I have to admit while I've never had an interest in the African cichlids he is starting to grow on me. How much effort does it take to keep water at the correct hardness for them?
