I went out and bought some more plants for my aquarium, upon reading about the ones I purchased I read that strawberries and cream ribbon grass does not do well fully submerged in water. Is this true? I can't really find much info in them.

What about white arrowhead? I bought that too, but then I read it was a semi aquatic plant?

Can you post pictures? I'm thinking the first is probably a dracenea sp, the second is a common house plant that will do well with just its roots in the water.

The first looks like a spider plant to me, which is definitely not aquatic. The second one isn't either, I'm afraid. As a general rule plants which are varegated like that (ie, they have both green and white/yellow patches on their leaves) are not aquatic, but they are sold as aquatic plants because they're pretty.

The first is a dracaena, and the second isn't aquatic either. Both will do well in dirt on your windowsill! But don't leave them in the water as they'll rot and foul your water.
