Strange Worms Or Larve

hi all,
im fishless cycling my tank at the moment and ive just noticed i have a few red looking worms or larve floating around. they are red in colour and are about 2 to 4 mm long. they must have come into the tank with my plants but not sure. They seem to been living in small white jelly like tubes on the plastic pipes of my filter. ive cleaned them off but does anyone know what they are? will they harm my fish when i get them or will the fish just eat them or do i have to get rid of them myself? as always many thanks in advance for all your help

Sound like blood worms to me.

any idea how they got into the tank? and are they safe?

Remove them, or the fish will eat them.

No fish eat blood worms.
Do a search on bloodworms.
