Strange Lumps On Rainbowfish

Good luck hope they make it.

I have started using the furanol and the lip hasn't got any worse so that is good, but when I got home from school 1 of the fish has developed whitespot. Just when I thought my luck couldn't get worse.

I have protozin which worked for my fish last time but I don't know if it is safe to use with the furanol. If it isn't should I finish that first and sort out the whitespot after? There wasn't any spots when I came home for lunch so they only appeared in the last couple of hours.

All of the fish are still acting normal and eating well.

Never rains but pours.
Does it look like they have been sprinkled in salt.
Well there both killers whitespot and columnaris, i would risk mixing the whitespot med in with the bacterial med if there in isolation, as there not much to lose.
As long as aeration in the tank is good it should be ok.

It is just 2 little white spots on one of the tails at the moment, but it does look like the same kind of spot that killed my last lot of rainbowfish that had whitespot when I bought them.
I think I have caught it early as all the fishes are still acting normal and are eating.

Ok, don't know what to do with the temp, as columnaris thrives at high temps.
Turn it up 2 degrees for the whitespot.

The temp is about 26 at the moment will this be ok.

See how it goes, good luck.

I just thought I would give an update on my fish,

all 4 fish are still alive :D , the whitespot went after a couple of days and hasn't returned and none of the fish are showing any signs of illness.

The fish with something hanging from the lip still has this it doesn't look as bad but hasn't gone. I spoke to someone in my local fish shop and he said it would take some time to heal and to add aquarium salt to the hospital tank to help speed it up.
Would this help?

Thanks for any advice

Salt is good but it depends on the fish you have in the tank.

There are just the 4 rainbow fish in the hospital tank, it is about 20 litres so how much salt do you think I should add as I have never used it before?

Right its usually one tablespoon to 5gal, so that means your needs not quite a tablespoon.

Good luck dani.
