So I got home from school today to find one of my 11 marbled hatchetfish dead. I did ammonia tests, 0, PH is fine and so are nitrites. But the corpse of the fish was missing both eyes and it looked like a chunk of its body was gone. Call me a wimp but it was hard to look at... the tank is Ich-free... i don't know the age of the hatchetfish because I got my first ones in January from one place and from another we bought 4 more just last week. That place has the most healthy fish of the store I go to; none dead in the tanks, very clean and all the fish are healthy.... only 1 fish from there died (a catfish) unless you include a fish I didn't know how to care for properly when I just got my tank...
But what caused the eyes to come out??
I'm sad now...
EDIT: These fish are in a completely peaceful tank, with the exception of 3 Serpae tetras and 2 Angelfish who could be semi-aggressive, however, they leave the hatchetfish be...
