I carnt help you but have you tried to contact an experienced member directly?

Off the top of my head minnt or ludwig are both experienced as far as i know.

90L tank

The problem is I brought this shark a week ago..Everything was running well with it. Mixing with the other fish fine...Then today its covered with white stuff all over it..Looks like it ages so much...Doesn't look well at all..

sorry I don't have any equipment to test my water parameters...I've used the Whitespot treatment.

Could you put up another picture please?

Loads of Pictures..Hope your guys can help...Doesn't look like he/she is going to last much longer

Its like this flur has developed all over the fish

Hi

- You need to get yourself a water testing kit - something like the API Master kit will fit the bill perfectly. It's really important that you can monitor your water parameters. If you can't get one straight away your LFS may be able to test the water for you. Once you know the readings then post them again in this thread.

- White spots can be a sign of Ich, but having never had to deal with it (limited fishkeeping experience and good luck) I won't be able to give you any extra tips...

- Finally, did the LFS give a specific name of the fish when you brought it? It looks like a young Colombian Shark to me (another more experienced member may know better than me), and if that's the case they have very specific requirements (brackish water), and very large tanks as they are an active fish. Eventually they would also eat any smaller tank mates.

Hope some of the above is useful - sit tight and am sure that some of the other members will be along shortly to help.

Nick

EDIT - Trust Fluttermoth below!!

It looks like it might be one of the Pangasuis species; totally unsuitable for your tank, I'm afraid. Most grow to five or six feet long; even the smaller species hit three or four.

It's probably very sensitive to the meds, being a scaless fish; it's not ich anyway; it's an overproduction of slime coat; almost certainly from stress and/or poor water quality.

You want to do a massive water change to get the meds out; drain the tank down so the fish have just enough water to swim upright (don't forget to switch yout heater and filter off!) and then refill with warm, dechlorinated water.

EDIT - Trust Fluttermoth below!!

Thanks for your help Nick. I'll go and purchase one tommorow. The LFS called it a south American Shark? to be honest am not really happy with it. It didn't live long and it could tell it was brought up in a very small space as it didnt want to swim around like the another fishes.
