Hi'

I was walking through homebase and saw some storage container which looked a decent size, at least 2 maybe 2 n half feet long with a depth of about a 1foot n half and height of a foot, does anyone know if these can be used as tanks at all? Obivously theyre not very large but would come in handy for quarantene tanks/hospital tanks and possibly breeding tanks for pairs and fry. Anyone tried it? I'm hoping to cvompletly clean my tank out in a week or two and will need somewhere for the fish to go so was thinking of placing them in storage containers with an external filtering all of them along with a heater between the few storage tubs. I was considering popping them in a water but with a heater and filter but not sure if its big enough and will probs need it for other things.

I've seen a few breeders I know use them to put fry in. Many reptile owners use them also.

It is actually quite common to use storage containers as emergency housing for fish. I mostly use storage containers to hold rain water until I need to use it. I can fill a storage container in a hard rain storm in less than 30 minutes and use the water for the next month or more as dilution water in my few low mineral content tanks.
