Stopping Breeding?

I hear there are ways with some fish to trigger breeding by a lowering of temperature, is there a reverse of this, as my sons have a 60 litre 'knocking shop' of mollies and the randy sods won't stop multiplying. None of the others are at it like the mollies and I didn't know if there was the proverbial cold shower they could have to take their minds off it.

Lol, I don't think you can stop a Mollie from breeding! Worse than rabbits are they! Would have to really do something drastic I suppose which might also kill them off too! You could just give the fry to the fish store if there are too many of the fry surviving.

the only way to stop them is to split to sexes, even then the females will give birth as they can store sperm for upto 7 months if you don't want babies have an all male tank
