well if your fish are dieing i suggest you get your water tested and find out the problem of why and then come back andd ask us :)

Not knowing what the fish looked like, or how they behaved before they died makes it hard to say whay killed them. Check out http://www.fishyfarmacy.com/diseases.html
You will probably be able to figure out what happened. I'm guessing an un-quarentined fish brought in something, gave it to the rest. If you are still stumped, call their help line, they are a great bunch of people, really knowlegable. They have the best prices on meds, cheaper than any lfs, with a much larger product line.

What are your nitrites and nitrates? do you use dechlorinator? what do you mean by 20H tank?? what is your tank in gallons or litres?
I think you should keep trying to save your current fish, they are mostly very hardy fish in general and until you figure out how to save them or what is causing all the desease, there is no saying that the same problem won't occur in a new setup.

there is only 1 guppy and he is doing fine

the other ones were the sick ones

and when I went to petco the guy said everything was fine

Nitrates dont harm the fish
yeh, do you use dechlorinator?
20H means its a 20 gallon tank but the higher then normal 20L(20 gallon Long tanks)

Actually high nitrates can make the tank unsuitable for more fragile fish and fluctuations in them can mean somthing is amiss- nitrites are important to know just in case your tank isn't mini cycling.

I would guess the reason the fish got sick in the first place is that they were stressed out from how over-stocked your tank was a while ago. Now I suggest you keep the tank running with just the surviving guppy for a couple of months. If all is well, consider getting a few compatible fish. Only add a couple at a time and make you research each and every species you go for. Look up their adult size and then use the 'inch per gallon guideline' (which aplies to ADULT fish sizes). Also, don't get anything that will grow to over 6".
