Stocking

Currently my stocking is

6 Khuli Loaches
8 Corys (4 Pepper 4 Triline)
12 Diamond Tetra
12 Silvertip Tetra
2 German Blue Rams
6 Golden Wonder Killi's (5 Female 1 Male)

Tank is on the high side of moderately planted plenty of hiding spots and blocked sightlines etc etc. The killi's dont bother any of the other fish.


What else would you add if anything ? I don't want to rely on 'that' site for stocking %

Execellent point lol How I forgot to add that im not sure

Its 240 Litres Aqa,dvisor says 100% but I know that most people say not to go totally by it so I thought I'd seek out opinions on here. Im not desperate to add more just wanted suggestions if it is possible.

I would test the water 12 hours after your next water change and if all is within safe limits, I would consider adding more fish

I've added a second filter so on the filtration side the tank is steady at zero for ammonia and nitrite filtration is approx 10x

Just bear in mind that I am giving an opinion, I am not qualified to give advice

If I have understood all that I have read the nitrifying bacteria colony will grow or decline in relation to the ammonia produced by your tank, adding a second cycled filter will not increase the colony size but it will give extra capacity to support more bacteria, so at the end of the day it`s your call whether to increase your stock

Personally I would look past the capability of your filters and think about things like how much physical space is available to the stock and whether it might cause stress to add more fish
