Out of curiosity can i fit these fish in my new 10 g tank:

1 mandarin drogonet
1 purple psuedo
1 pajama bottom cardinal

with a small horseshoe crab and a couple of snails


?

If i can't put the drogonet i was going to try and see about a small gobie or a small valentini puffer

I wouldnt keep a mandarin in that sized tank. The live foods it needs to survive will last about 5 minutes. Then you will be culturing pods constantly

Goby would be preferable to the puffer mate and I would definately say no to the horseshoe crab as well...these prehistoric beauties grow to a total length of around 24", feed on organisms from mature sand beds and commonly starve to death in tanks. They also come from large sandy areas and are prone to getting stuck in rockwork causing their deaths...at least a 100 gallon rock free tank would be required for these living fossils....Try a smaller crab like a porcelain or pom pom crab, even look at antler crabs if you want something more unusual

Right on! that makes sense!

Im trying to use this ten gallon as a temporary home for a few fish until i get my new 6' tank.

I overstocked my 22 g and am trying move some creatures.

so can i keep:
1 purple psuedo
1 pajama bottom cardinal
1 yellow goby
and the 1" horseshoe crab (for like a month)
In my 10g

With no rock on the floor.

?

should be fine in there..how are you fitering ..not with live rock I guess??
Watch the pseudo..can be nasty little guys, though the orchids aren't as bad as most
Baby horse shoe should be fine if he doesn't starve without a mature sand bed with micro fauna for him to eat

i have been throug 3 horse shoe crabs 2 died but the 3rd one lived only because i used krill in the sand bed and also burried it for the horse shoe crab to live onn btw this was my first tank i liked them so much but will never have a nother one they grow to a size of a dinner plate lol
