I have a 20gal tank, about 2ft in length. Currently home to...

2 x Bolivian Rams
5 x Espe's Rasbora
5 x Harlequin Rasbora
3 x Bronze Cory

20% (ish) water change done every week, using a basic internal filter similar to the Fluvals.

Not entirely sure what I want to add if I'm honest. Maybe another ram if at all possible, because at the minute the 2 I have aren't getting on and hopefully another addition would spread out the aggression.

In fact if I could add to the tank, then suggestions would be great. :)

rams can be aggresive as sed above, however a pair ( malea nd female) shouldnt be very. chances are youve got either 2 males or 2 females. adding another one wont help, infact willmake things worse.

i believe u have a bit more room in there..id ad a few more corys IMO, not muvh else u can do

I understand it's hard to sex the rams, but my lfs spent a good 15 minutes going through the whole tank to try and get a pair. Obviously might not have worked though and they could both be the same sex.

If there's room for a few more corys then I'm sure I'll find something to go in there. :good:

Rams are easy to sex once they are about 1" in size. There are loads of threads on it, do a search if you arent sure.

Is that bolivian rams though? I understand that it's pretty easy to sex the german/gold rams.

Mine are over an inch now and both posters on PFK and my lfs seem to think it's next to impossible to sex them. I've read the stuff about the dorsal fin being longer on the males, etc.. but I couldn't see a noticable difference in any of the ones in my lfs.

The only difference I can see between the 2 I have is the colours. One has deep black markings, the red stands out more on the edges of it's fins, etc.. whereas the other one is just a dull colour with fading black markings.
