Hi all,
Im about to buy a 126ltr tank (Fluval Duo Deep) 800l x 350d x 450h with an Eheim 2222 external filter.

Its cycled (currantly belongs to Ginge on here!)

My currant stock is:

6 x Danios
2 x Green Tiger Barbs
1 x Tiger Barb
2 x Red Platy
1 x Hillstream Loach
3 x Cory Julii

What would you suggest i add?

I know its that same old question, but ive learned so much on here that i value your opinions!!!

Many thanks :)

I should have said i want to up the quantities of what i have, but looking for any additions / centre piece fish!

that's the same tank I've got and I know it's not much different, but it's actually 126 ltr. When I bought mine, I was confused by the fact that on the sign in the shop, it said 112 ltr but then on the box it says 126! If you put the dimensions into a calculator, it says 126 so I settled on that. :)

sorry, I'm no good with stocking suggestions.. i'm too much of a novice!

after upping the levels to the correct numbers (i.e. 6 barbs, 6 cories, possibly more platy's depending on the gender of the one's you have?) you don't have a massive amount of space.

however you probably have room for a pair/trio of centerpiece fish or another shoal of small fish. which would you prefer?

mmm Nice fish, but im sticking with the fish i have now just adding to!

Angles and Tiger Barbs not a good mix i feel??

Like the Rams though. Would they be ok with my existing stock?

barbs aren't really my field of expertise (never kept them, just don't like them tbh!) but from what i've heard the bigger group you can get the better as it dissipates the agression between them better.

they can be really nippy so i wouldn't put them with anything with long trailing fins like angels.

Possibly with rams though although you'd have to be careful they didn't get bullied.

You only posted yesterday ;) lol

I'd go with Miss Ws suggestion - up the amount of tiger barbs or else anything else in there will get their aggression, at least in a bigger group they stick to themselves ;) I wouldn't go all out for Ginge's list though that'd take you to being overstocked (although I'm sure Ginge meant one not all of the options lol).

Maybe a ram (or a pair)? But if you're getting them, I would definitely increase the amount of barbs, as they have trailing fins too - and could be bullied by the barbs.

Erm...not really added anything interesting to that have I? How about some otos or a Queen Arabesque plec? Although with the loach in a small tank, I dont know whether that might be pushing it? Pah. I'll let someone else step in - I only wanted to reply because you were upset someone hadn't lol...

argh thanks Lisa!! Was just peeved cos newer posts were getting replies! I know people get fed up with this question, but as im new and dont want to mess things up i need & value the opions on here......................
The Hillstream loach stays approx 2"
Thinking about Rams..... like that idea!!
I do inded to up the numbers of Barbs & Corys just need to know what else i can have.

Simon
