so i could bactinettes and fish and do a fish cycle
well you could its whether you should thats the issue

the idea is that they give you all the live bacteria you need to work on the ammonia that the fish are likely to produce (simplified cos I'm not a quick typer!) . I am about to use bactinettes to speed up my cycle but I'm gonna do a bit of a mish-mash. By that I mean I'm gonna use the bctinettes but not fish - I'm gonna add pure ammonia until I am sure that the bactinettes has done what it claims it will do.
And to be honest its not just to see whether it does what it claims, its whether it has been transported from factory to shop correctly - did the fridges on the HGV work properly (not uncommon for them to go wrong) I read on another site that a delivery firm didnt have the fridges right and never said anything to the shop when they delivered

Get some ammonia and a test kit, add the bactinettes and enough ammonia to bring it up to 5ppm and keep testing until your sure the levels are safe for the fish
