Stocking Suggestions

Hey there,
At the minute I have a Juwel Rio 180 with 7 Cardinal Tetra's in, A shrimp and 4 Small Tiger Barbs.
What else do you think I should add? As i know the tige barbs can be fin nippers.

Hmm I used to have 40 + Neons and cards but most of my neons were lost of a period of time (weak).
I might get some more cardinals seem a little hardier.

30+ Neon Tetra's wouldn't just spontaneously die, there must have been a cause, you should be fine to slowly up the numbers again providing there are no pre-existing problems.

Tetras are a schooling fish. 7 is the minimum number as you may be aware already. You can of course add more than 12 just depends on what else you want to stock your tank with. The same applies to the barbs.

Corys will do well as long as you have sand as the substrate. 6-10 is a good number for them and they are very active bottom feeder, unlike many others.

It all depends on what you like

One of the main reasons I think is that my Rio is fitted with a 3d baackground and some of them get behind it and thats how they have been depleated over time. Even though its sealed they always seem to get behind it?? Theres 1 there now and theres way of me getting him

Then it isn't sealed properly, how did you attach it? Ideally the tank should be drained, dried, silicone applied and the background fitted flush to the glass and then left for 24 hours to cure.
