Hi Guys,

Looking to stock my 3 gal with some MGS snails (for the sand) and perhaps some shrimp.

Just wondering if anyone had any other suggestions for a low-waste setup.

MGS? Malayasian Grumpy Snails? lol

A trio of cherry barbs?

The usual male betta?

A group of all female or all male endlers?

Cherry Shrimp?

If i think of anymore i'll give you a shout.

cheers greg

That tank is to small for cherry barbs and livebearers.
Betta about all its ideal for and invertbrates.

A few endlers would be fine...if they were the same sex so they didn't breed, which i mentioned.

Why would cherry barbs not be ok? In my experience they aren't very energetic and a gallon each seems fine! Or you could maybe cut it to 2 to be on the "safe side". ha!

cherry barbs only get to an inch and a half. Why do they need 30 gallons?

rosey barbs would need a min of a bout 30 gallons though.

i'm sure someone on here had a nano planted tank and had 2-3 cherry barbs in it. I can't remember who, but i'm sure it was on here.

It's not their size that require a 30 gallon it's their behavior. Anyway just because someone here had 3 cherry barbs in a tiny tank doesn't mean it's healthy for the barbs. There are people here who keep bettas in tiny softball sized bowls too doesn't mean it's ok.
