Open to suggestions, I know neon tetras are quite popular but I already have two tanks containing them so what other small schooling species do you guys recommend?
10 Gallon tank, lightly planted in the nature style. See journal in sig for photos.
Thanks guys!

Celestial pearl danios are small, although they don't school as such, they do tend to stay in loose groups.
Ember tetras school well if you have enough of them, harlequin rasboras are another option, but they are a bit bigger

i have 60 neons in a tank and not much schooling goes on unless they're a bit scared

neons dont seem to school much in my limited experience. i have a group of 8 penguin tetras which stick together like glue, which is one of the main reasons i went for them. ive seen then in groups of 100+ in my lfs and they really do school well.

penguins are ace, wouldnt stick them in anything less that 120 litres though, they like space to cruise.

Glowlight tetras are the best! Phantoms are cool too. I kept a school of 12 glowlights in my 10 gallon planted

you think? mine are in a 180 litre but i definately wouldnt say they do a lot of cruising. they more about an inch a minute lol.

arrr, 8 isn't many for a 180, i'd be looking for 20+ then they are a little more active. :D
