so i've got 2 wild caught blue gill, 1 all out blue gill and the other is a pumkin seed. both only about 1/2 inch apart. well. its time to move them to a bigger tank. and i have a 120g which is set up perfectly for them, pimpe dout with the bog wood and planted out like mad.(ok i'll stop talkin like that) anyways. in the 120g is 6 gourami all range'n from 2 1/2 to 3 inchs. and 12 tiger barbs. would it be ok to move those fish to the 55g? would they be comfortable? or should i thin out the tiger barbs to like 7 or 8?

thanks everyone!

Sean

the gouramis would be fine but i havent kept barbs.

jus read the fish index tho and it says minimum tank is 30 gallons and you need atleast 6 to stop aggresion.

from that i would say the tank size was fine for them all but id keep an eye on the gouramis cos there not the fastest or brightest of fish and in the smaller tank the barbs might get nippy.

i would have ot agree, the guoramies should be fine, but if they start getting nipped up ether thin out the tiger barvs or get rid of them completely and replace them with maybe something else. but thats up to you, i would thin them out first before getting rid of them completely.

succesfully moved the fish to there differant tanks. how ever, in the 55g, the tiger barbs pay no attention to the gourami's... acually the tiger barbs are fighitng with eachother more. there is 1 tiger babr in the 120g with 3 blue gill, couldnt catch the last barb. how ever. the blue gill pay no attention to the little guy. so could i move 5 from the 55g to the 120g. to make it 6 in the 120 and 6 in the 55g?

thanks for all the help!
