Stocking Question

hi guys , just a quick question really, my wife has taken a fancy to a rather lovely scooter blenny and i was wondering if he would be ok with our yellow watchman goby that we have in our 40gal tank.......

any ideas??

generally they get along ok but scooter blennies don't compete that well for food and it may starve if the watchman goby takes all the food. Also some big gobies have been known to try and eat small scooter gobies.

Scooter gobies are actually dragonets so are quite difficult to keep fed. I had one that did eat froozen food but they eat so slowly most of the food was taken by the other fish unless I target fed it. I gave it to someone with a large reef tank in the end as I just didnt feel I could keep it fed well enough when I was away from home.

scooter dragonets were in my initial list until barney said the same thing to me and i took it off. if you're confident of feeding it directly, or make sure your tank has an ample amount of pods then it should be okay
