i wouldnt think pair, u could barely hav 1 w/ 5 loaches, of course im no professional, so any1 w/ a lil more exp. can correct me.

If you run the numbers, it's possible. I'm not sure in practicality however. Inch per gallon rule is broken when it comes to big fish.
Personally, I think you could do it, but you better have some really hefty filtration.

best way 2 do it is buy 6-8 baby's and wait for a 2 to pair off then give your lfs back the rest just picking 2 may lead 2 aggression l8r on but u could have 2 oscars easly in a 6 foot tank under the right circumstaces
btw wots the width of the tank 2 foot would be minimum for an oscar really jen

If you are heavily overfiltered, like 2 external canisters, you never know Sharon, try the stocking tool on there and you might be surprised

72" by 19" sounds good dimensions for a pair of oscars to me (providing the height is adequate). Plenty of people keep a pair in a standard 125 tank (72"x18" as its a common size in the US). Extra width would be nice but I wouldn't have qualms keeping a pair of oscars in that tank.
