Stocking Question

Im currently waiting on my 180l Jewel Record and was going to move what i have atm into it. What i was wondering was what else would be suitable, Kinda loking for a couple of biggish peacefull fish. Any suggestions.

Also is the filter that comes with it good or should i get other media

I would go for a pair of pearl gourami or some rainbow fish. Both era very colourfull.

Oh I see from your sig you have apple snails. How do you get on with them? Do they clean the tank and do they breed out of control?

The snails i have only had for i think 3 wks now the do clean up yes but a dont have much algae in my tank but they do wrk.

Thats about the same size as my 50. Stocking in my sig. I'm pleased with it.

Firemouths are an American Cichlid.

To be honest they wont be able to stay in with the other fish in my 50 for long. They are very aggressive fish. Mine are only about an inch at the moment though so are no threat. The rest of the Cichlids in my tank (Rams and the Festivum) are very peaceful if you want to go down that route.

If you want to get some more agressive Cichlids then it's worth posting in the Cichlids forum to see what would be compatible. My FM's will be going in a new large Cichlid tank Im setting up in just a couple of months.
