This is the current stocking for my 20ukg (24usg) planted tank.

1 x German Blue Ram
2 x Oto
4 x Julii Cory
6 x Harlequin Rasbora

The main problem persists at feeding time. The Ram will chase and even 'attack' the corys to get to the sinking food. This lasts for around 1\2 an hour then he will calm down again and won't bother the corys again untill the next feed.

Would it be better to re-home the ram?

try dropping the food in opposite corners of the tank and make sure the corys can hide.

i think personally unless the corys were getting beat up pretty bad then id jus try the above and leave rehoming as a last resort.

Thanks for the replys :)

I will try dropping the food at opposite ends of the tank and see if that makes any difference.

The corys don't look to be taking any sort of beating, i think it's more a case of him chasing them away from the food. They have plenty of places to take cover and they will have even more as the tank is more heavily planted.

It would be a shame to have to have to re-home the ram as they get on well except at feeding time.

Well i just tried feeding food at opposite ends of the tank and it's worked a treat. They are almost feeding together now.

Even the oto's are getting a piece of the action!.
