Stocking Okay?

Okay i think i've got my final stocking
Is it overstocked or not?
Common plec (fgoing soon)
Albino plec (Going in about a month or two)
5 neons to 10
5 zebra danios to 10
2 albino corys to 6
2 opaline gouramis
2 swordtails (possibly get another female)
4 mollies (1m 3f)
5 guppies (1 male 4 female last try on guppies)
2 cherry barbs?

I'm thinking its gonna be overstocked? If so what should i not have?

its 48" x 12" x 18". rOUGHLY 40 gallons.

Hi Lucy,

Which do you already have? Once the plecs are gone, you should be fine with the neons at 10, Zebras at 10, cory's at 6.

Do you already have the cherry barbs? If not, then I would leave them out or get 6 as they like to be in a group.

What i ahve already - 2 opaline gouramis, 5 zebras, 2 swordies, 2 common plec (1 albino actually), 2 albino corys, 5 neons. Also do you think any of these would bite a guppies tail off bit by bit as this happened to my male spotty.
I want to add - 5 more neons, 5 more zebra, 4 more albino cories, possiblly another sowrdtail female, 4 mollies and 2 cherry barbs. Would it be overstocked?

I would forget the Mollies, more swordtails and the Cherrys. Without these, and of course without the plecos, you're very well stocked.

Very well stcoked mean nearly overstocked right? So like another female sword and could i get 1 male molly and 3 females? instead of cherry barbs

unless youre going to get five or more cherry barbs as already said dont they like to be in groups

No Mollies, no more Swordtails, and no Cherry barbs. This is just my opinion. I think in order to be successful with overstocking, you'll need a lttle more experience. It would be a shame to overstock, and lose fish because you cant maintain water quality. Is this tank cycled, or will you be cycling it before adding fish?

Yes its cycled goin for about a year and a half now all fish have been fine

I win't get any more sword or cherry barbs but i gonna get some mollies as i really want. SO in total i would get 17 more fish - 5 neons, 5 zebra danios, 4 more ablibno cories, 3 mollies

You'll be overstocked, but it's your decision. I know how tempting it is....Have fun!

Yeah but you lot can get more tanks but my dad refuses to and i have to wait a whole year to get my 6 footer. How many water changes a week will i need to do. 33 fish in total most will be small.

Just add these extra fish slowly Lucy, dont do it all at once, or you will find yourself in another mini-cycle. 2/3 a week at the most to let your filter catch up with the extra bio load

Stick to 30% water change a week, unless your notice any problems with the ammonia or nitrite levels, in which case switch to 2 x 30% weekly.
