Stocking Nano

Hi all, well my nano is finally set up, waiting for the plants to take, and for a HOB filter to arrive (internal filter supplied with tank way too powerful!).

the tank is 17L (10x10x10.5 inches). There are no large decor items, the bigest things in there are the plants.

The tank does get warm, yesterday, about 80F. but this will cease after the summer...

Anyway, according to this:

I can have up to 20cm of fish. Now I'm not daft, and would not try to cram that many fish in that small an environment.

I'm in no desperate need to stock the tank (want to be sure plants are established first), but am liking the look of:

Cardinal Tetras (grow to 1inch long - but doubt they will work out as that small a volume is too unstable - but high temp tolerance is good).

Male guppies.

any small tetra (black tetra).

not endlers (just cant get hold of them).

Not a dwarf puffer (bad luck previously).

Maybe a Betta, IF I can find a decent specimen anywhere.

or, maybe a sorority tank? or croacking gouramis? or honeys?

anyway, tiny tank, want fish (not shrimp), gets hot, has plants... ideas?

Would absolutely love any of the micro-rasboras, but just cant find them anywhere.

i was able to find two websites that sell the micro-rasboras. I'm a big fan myself. Shipping would be a pain, but it might be worth it to you.

Mini Moth Catfish look soooooooooooooo cute!

How about gobys?

Sorority, betta wise, that tank is too small. However, how about 1 male scarlet badis and a few females (the females are much smaller).
