so i think i've decided on what im going to stock my upcoming malawi tank with..

1 Demasoni

2 Kenyi

3 Yellow Labs

3 Acei

1 Bumblebee

3 Red Peacocks

I have a 55gal and im going to make plenty of hiding places with rocks. will these fish go together? is it ok that the peacocks are carnivores and the rest of herbivores?

Kenyi are to aggressive to be in a tank that's less than 75 gallons. + the kenyi and demasoni will likely fight due to similar markings/shape. You could get 2 extra bee's. These guys are herem breeders and they'll chase females to no end if there aren't enough.

I'd say have 4 groups of 4---drop kenyi and the lone demasoni and you have your 4 groups :)

A lot of people mix peacocks and mbuna. Most of your mbuna are omnivores so you can feed a varied diet.

thanks. what if i do what you said plus a demasoni? Thats like my favorite African so far lol

If you did that, I'd drop the bee b/c of the markings. Tanks not big enough to have dems and bees. Yea one is yellow and one is blue, but do the fish know that? They both have thick black vertical bars. (I'm gonna try that in my 75g tank after a little while(12 dems and 4/5 bees)).

Or if they are your favorite, do 12 demasoni with 5 yellow labs :)

or 12 demasoni w/4 acei

or 12 dems with 5 Metriaclima Esterae (Red Zebra)
