Hey everyone. I have a 10 US gallon tank and I'm getting some ideas for what fish to put in.
So far I'm thinking:
4 red platys
4 zebra danios
1-2 gouramis

I really love gouramis but I have a few questions.
Do I get one or two? Male or females??
Which type is better? I've read either honey or dwarf would be good.

Thank you :)

I wouldnt put zebra danios in a 10 gallon tank I'm afraid.

There is a bit of a talking point regarding the minimum tank size for danios, some say 20 gal but from personal experience I wouldnt put danios in a tank smaller than 30 gal as they are one of the most active fish you will find and its really quite unfair them not having the swimming space they require to thrive.

agree with andy, i cant imagine my danio in a tank smaller than 30gal.....
other than tht yeah will be fine :)

Honey and dwarf gouramis are probably the only two that are small enough for a ten gallon. My male honey is a bit terretorial. For such a small tank i would recommend only one male, or two females. My tank is big enough that my female can easily escape my male if he's being a bully. In a ten gallon, she might get harrassed.
