Stocking Levels

ok guys ,please help me get this right,
i have checked on a few calculating websites and i seem to be getting told i can have about 102cms/40inches of fish in my tank (60l/13~15g).

my current stock is

12 harlequin rasboras
4 albino cories
1 betta

i've an external filter and roughly one inch of sand across the bottom,2 fake plants and a piece of wood.

i've added up all the "adult" sizes the fish would reach if they grew to them and i got about 93cms of fish.

but what do you, the fish loving forum think about my current set-up,my wife was looking some neon tetras once the tank got a bit older and more established but i thought it might be pushing it a bit,also i wanted 2 or 4 more albino's but again thought it might be going too far.


so what do you guys think ?

What is your water change schedule? And how many gallons do u do?

i am changing 10-12 litres twice a week but was told could stop this and only do 10-12 once a week

I would add another 2 cory's for sure. You could maybe add a shoal of say 6 neon tetra's but you may encounter issues with your Betta thinking of them as enemies, but i think you should be fine. Maybe consider the black neons? You could also consider silver tip tetra's or rummy nose tetras which would be very effective also!

I would change 20 litres a week also when fully stocked. You could get away with 10 litres, but to be honest, the more you change the better it will be for your fish providing the water is of a similar temperature and has been dechlorinated first.

My tank is going about a month now so I'll get two cores and I'll see about getting the neon tetras soon, I know they do better in more established tank but I don't know how long to wait, what do you guys think?

So for a bit of a surprise for my wife I'm thinking of going and getting the cories and tetras today but I don't know if I'm jumping the gun here and my tanks not ready, so what do you think ?

I'd just leave everything as it is, maybe 2 more Cory's but other than that I wouldn't add anything else.
