how about:

2 keyholes (i like the short finned females, can i hae two together?)
6 bosemani rainbows
6 Melanotaenia Praecox (dwarf rainbow)
and a small shoal of harlequins (8) but i dont mind if they are overstocking.
1 BN
(my 2 clown plecs would probaly move in as well)


wouldthat work better rather than having 4 keyholes and 12 rainbows etc. will keyholes be fine as a pair of females.

That would be fine nick, two keyholes, male or female will get on fine, they are very peaceful fish.

Personally if I were being picky, I would lose the harlequins and up the praecox. You wont see much of 8 in a 55g tank.

i would have 63 inches of fish, in a 63 USG tank. however now i am not so sure about the BN, it is a poop machine. but i already have 2 clown plecs and would have to rehome them. unless i kept my 30G. The BN may come in handy as it does eat algae.

That sounds better to me, would even got so far as to say 10 praecox once the tank is settled.

Keep the BN does more good than harm.
