We are moving in a few weeks, and once we do I want to set up my 29 gallon again. I have an idea for the stocking but I'm afraid it would overcrowd my tank.

- my betta
- 6 glass catfish
- 5 otos
- guppies ( don't know how many)

So what do you guys think?

the betta will kill the guppies.  Im not sure about the glass catfish.  instead of guppies, might look into rasboras.

A Betta is best on its own.

Glass catfish, presumably Kryptopterus vitreolus, will be nice in a group of six, assuming the tank will be fairly well planted, as this is an ambush predator though admittedly a pretty feeble one compared to others.  But it needs very quiet and peaceful tankmates.  It will be wild caught (rumours of captive breeding in SE Asia are not considered reliable) so specific in its requirements of water and food.  It naturally preys (feeds) on insect larvae and crustaceans swimming or drifting in the gentle current, so non-live foods should be similarly moving.

Guppies would not be good tankmates for the glass catfish.

Byron.
