Stocking Ideas And Opinions?

I'm planning on redoing my tank. I've ordered some black sand that should support plant life and it'll be here around the 11th.
I'm planning on leaving a layer of gravel because I wont have enough sand to get the depth I want. I'm also hoping to get live plants. I'm thinking Water Wisteria, Moneywart and Anacharis (Another site says they're easy to care for, and they're bushy which is good for my live bearers) - I don't know how many to get of each, or if they'd do will in my tank environment so any advice on them would be good.

I have two Mollies, two Platy's and a Panda Cory.
My tank is 30 gallons (36x12x18), has a pH constant of 8 and hovers around 80 degrees....
I'm planning on getting another Molly and Platy and another few Corry's so the total population will probably be around 9ish fish at that point.....

What other fish would people suggest? I'm completley open to suggestions, though I would prefer easier to care for fish ;p

Why are you keeping temperate livebearers and a temperate cory at such a high temperature? They would all do a lot better, especially regarding lifespan, at 70F.

If it's a case of you have the heater set too high, then it's simply a case of turning down the thermostat (but do bare in mind that the guage why not sync up well with actual water readings), if 80F is due to a warm ambient room temperature you should rehome all your current fish and choose species that like high-end tropical.

Again, the site says these fish are fine from 76-82 F, so I assumed that it was fine, besides all the heaters I own are designed to have the temperature between 78-80...
