Inherited lots of tanks, getting back in the game of fishies (yes thats right i said fishies) not necessarily starting them all at once but, would like some ideas. Please and thank you.

What sort of thing are you wanting? Theres so many options, Do you want a few big fish, loads of small ones, peaceful fish, aggressive fish ect?
I would be tempeted to go for some dwarf cichlids like Apistogramma, Flag cichlids, Cheackerboard cichlich, rams ect or maybe some small catfish like Clown plecs, BNs, Corys ect.

I was thinking something thats easy and hardy to start with
and i live peaceful and lots of small too
like maybe some gouramis with some tetras or something like that in the 29

Dwarf Gouramis or Honey Gouramis with Colombian Tetra or some Rummynose tetra :good:

In a 29G Dwarf, Honey or Sparkling gourami would work fine. You could have a pair of Honey or Dwarf gourami or a group of 5-6 Sparkling gourami along with a shoal of tetras and maybe a shoal of corys.

whats something easy and really pretty for a 40g setup?

I would be tempted to go for a cichlid.
Have a look at
Firemouth cichlid
Rams
Apistogramma
Blue acara
Keyhole cichlids

Any of them look any good?

i love rams n apistogramma but what could i put with either of those

Both stay small and arent that aggressive so should do fine with Tetras, Corys, small Plecs and most other community fish avoiding slow long finned fish like guppies and bettas.

luckily i have enough guppies, swordtails and bettas to last me a lifetime and dont intend on every getting more lol

my uncle recently passed away and he was a fish-crazed

he actually has a bunch of pearlscale angels and had a bunch of silver dollars but i just sold those

10g: 6 Rosy Loach and 6 Celestial Pearl Danios (a mini Myanmar theme, these two fish were found together in the wild)?

29g: A mini Tanganyikan them (Shell dweller pair and Julidochromis dickfeldi pair, not sure if you could add some non-Tang top dwellers in this size tank), or a mini African riverine theme (2/3 Lionhead Cichlids and a 10+ group of P. buffei ["Debauwi Catfish"]

40g: 8+ groups of Celebes and Dwarf Neon Rainbowfish, with a 2-4 Empire Gudgeon?

i thought puffers had to go into a much larger tank

and thanks NOTG for the great input :D
