i have a fluval roma 240L 55G tank thats been running a while now with rena XP3 and eheim 2215 externals and contains -

4 x discus
2 x SAE
3 x polkadot loach
1 x leopard bushfish

ive bought an FX5 to swap for the eheim 2215 and want to introduce -

2 more discus
16 cardinal tetras

and remove -

1 x leopard bushfish

giving me a total stocking of -

6 x discus
2 x SAE
3 x polkadot loach
16 x cardinal tetras

i have the tetras in quarentine and they need to grow out a bit as all i could get hold of were small fish.... so these wont be added for some time yet and i want to up the numbers of discus to 6 as advised by everyone ive spoken to about them. i know the inch per gallon rule is just a general guiding and ill be way over with a total of about 96 inches of fish in total but with the over the top filtration will i get away with it.......? there will only be a total of 27 fish but obviously the discus will get big.
i do weekly water changes of 50% at least and the tank is planted.

also thinking of getting a zebra plec or 2 if it will work......

I would up the loaches to 5 or 6 and looks good to me

yeah it is, I find it better to work in US gallons as thats what most people on the internet go by.

cool, ok mate that makes my tank 10G bigger then

in time this will be my stocking, could i add more cardinal tetras? i would love a bigger group
