This is just me but I would skip the cichlids and the catfish and go for 3 balas, 3 clown loaches and a sailfin or common plec. Maybe a couple of kissing gouramies or snakeskin gouramies as well. Those are the fish that always end up in tanks to small for them and they would all get along much better. I feel those three cichlids would end up in a lot of scraps...

Already have a loach/gouramis tank going the 54G Corner bow.
The 125 will have an oscar....I can't alter that fact.
The rest is up for debate.

i like the sound of the tank i think imo that if you set it up right with caves and clearly defined territory boundries the cichlid mix could get along fine my jaguar and my oscar get along fine and have done for 18 months now i tried my jag with my flowerhorn but that was a no no as the flowerhorn wanted the tank himself and would not let out the jag so i transfered the jag to the oscars tank and they have been fine ever since it dose depend a great deal on the indervidual fishes temperament with cichlids what works for one could be a blood bath for another :D

I say get 5 pim pictus... that would look great, oh and remember to get a plec of some sort! Just don't skimp on the filtration for a big tank. My 150G has 2 filters on it and 2 seperate power heads to circulate the water.

Twin Cascade 1200's are already installed. I'm on the downslope of the nitrite spike right now.

May install two powerhead 301's but haven't decided on them yet.
