Stocking For 30 Gallon

For my 30 gallon that I hope to breed kribs in

Stocking sound okay?

- 2 BNs
- 5 swordtails
- 2 kribs

If I can have more (i think i can) what do you suggest?

You'll be able to get away with a fair bit more in a 30g, I'd go for anything small that won't eat the krib eggs. What did you have in mind?

Anything really. Small, fast, colourful (main factor) possibly shoaling.

Not neons or zebra danios as I have these already.

Also I know I could get more but I am really just going to use it for the krib breeding. Not going to be a main display tank.

Praecox rainbows are a lovely shoaling fish - they look a bit bland in the LFS but tend to colour up beautifully. How long is the tank?

if the tanks is purely for krib breeding and nothing else then personally thats all id put in it.

Praecox rainbows would fit in perfectly.

I would remove the BNs from the list. They are bottom dwellers which means the kribs will not tolerate them at all when they start breeding. The swords are fast enough that they will learn to stay away before the kribs do them too much damage but the BNs are not that fast.
