Stocking For 30 Gallon Tank

I'm setting my 30 gallon tank up to be a South American themed tank. It will have live plants and driftwood. I was thinking:
2 German Blue Rams
8 Cardinal Tetra
and catfish i'm not shure about, I like cories but I wanted to go with something different. I like SA bumblebee catfish, has anyone had experience with them and how many is a good number to keep. I have read they are not schooling or shoaling fish so numbers aren't an issue as they are with cories. Also I would like some otos. Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks!
