Stocking Advice

I recently bought a new Orca 31L aquarium (about two weeks ago) and transferred my current fish over to the new tank.

At present i have:

5 Black Phantom Tetras
2 Penguin Tetras
1 Danio
2 Bumblebee Goby's
2 Khuli Loaches
1 Horseface Loach

I would like to introduce some colour into my tank as it is a bit dull at the moment, so i would like to know what your suggestions would be for some nice, colourful fish would be, that are not too big or expensive (im a sixth-form student on a budget at the moment due to not being able to work for a month because i broke my wrist)

Please help with any sugestions you may have

Your already overstocked for a 31L tank (it is a 31 liter right?) sorry if it aint and i am mistaken.

I agree your tanks severely overstocked.
Plus there isn't one fish that should be in that tank size.

There is ample swimming space for all of my fish and they are healthy and active though.
My lfs reliably informed me that i could put a few more fish in with no problems at all.

But if you think it is overstocked then i wont get anymore and will move some of them to my smaller tank.

Maybe its gallons you mean and not litres?!
Whats the measurements?

The length is 24", the height is 18" and the width is 15.5"

Well you could exchange some-although i dont fancy your chances getting those khuli loaches out! Best not to overstock as it brings on problems. More frequent water changes are required and even with this the fish will be stressed and probably not live to their full potential.

yeah, they were hard enough to catch when we changed them to the new tank haha.


Im just glad i got my new bumblebee goby then, because he looked all sad on his own with the baby khulis in the shop and my lonely bumblebee needed a friend
