I have 4 kenyi cichlids in a small 25 gallon tank. It is time to get a 55 gallon. I need help to decide what others fish groups I could put in with these 4. Could you please give an example of what you would add if you were me? I thank you for your ideas!

Kenyi (name has actually been changed to Lombardoi) are extremely aggressive, so you will want to make sure you stick with fish that can handle that kind of temper. Melanochromis Auratus, Maylandia Crabro, Pseudotropheus Elongatus, Cynotilapia Afra and Labidochromis Hongi are all potentials. You will need to decorate and stock heavily, and expect a number of fatalities as you experiment with this very aggressive setup and the fish mature.

Thank you again. I know I have asked many repetitive questions. I am still curious to one though. I do not have a camara so I can not show you. 1 of the 4 has grown twice as quick as the others and looks a little different. It has never been as dark colored as the rest. A very pale with the vertical stripes barly visible as where the other 3 are very dark colored and defined. Is this normal with lombardo or do I possibly have another fish in with them. Since it is the biggest it owns my tank. The other three dont have a chance right now. Wont be long till I can move 'em.

is it turning gold in color? if so, you have a male kennyi. all kennyi are born with the female coloration, blue with black stripes. there is a color morph between the sexes and as the males sexually mature they turn a gold color with darker gold stripes.

I keep 5 Lambardoi (Kenyi) in my 75 Gallon now. I have one male and four females. Males will turn yellow as they mature and mine did grow much faster than my females. I have an old pic of him when he was around two inches. He is almost four inches now.
