Im getting a 120g aqauium today and i was wondering if you all had any ideas on what i should put in it. My main interest are americfan cichlids. i had a thirty gallon tank and have many fish in it like jewel cichlids and firemouths. Ive always wanted an Oscar so i think an Oscar is a must. i really enjoyed the firemouth and jewels when i had them. but i feel as though i should try something new, you know, go big like Jaguar cichlids or something. I've never ahd a tank this big and im having trouble deciding on what to put in it. i was just curious to hear any suggestions anyone might have.

thanks

I'd go for amozan type fish my self, serverums, plecs.
My second chose would be african rift lake tank, they fantastic to watch, with all the fish going about the business.

What about
1 arowana
1 oscar
1 motoro sting ray
1 BGF (black ghost knife)
and others?

firstly a arowana needs a about 500 gallons, 300 gallons minimum but this is a VERY small space for a arowana and a motoro should have about a 6-7 foot tank with a width of anout 3 feet which i dont think adds up to 120 gallons -_- . oscar should be fine. maybe you could get a pair in there too.
oh. the black ghost knife should be fine too but is nocturnal so you never really see it :( . your tank maybe a little small for a jaguar. and if you did it would be the only fish in the tank. if i were in you place and had that big tank id get, a pair of oscars.
let us know what you discide
dany

Well I thought CFC's tank was a 250g and he has those fish in it. But I guess it may be bigger then. Maryjason has an arowana in a 6 foot tank

just so you guys know, the tank is 73' long and the guy im buying it from says that it could be a 135g but he thought it was a 120 gallon. I do have a list of a ton of fish im interested in but im sure wich ones i should choose to put in it. im open to suggestions, but hey i might as well take the time to type out the list of fish im interested in: snakehead, firemouths, jewel cichlids, chocolate cichlid, oscars, jaguar cichlids, pike cichlids, plecos, pictus catfish, rainbow shark, blackfin shark, clown loaches, flying fox, butterfly fish, upside down catfish, texas cichlid, paradise fish, jack dempsey, green terror, red devil, fire eel, tiretrack eel. ive never had a tank anywhere near this size and my mind is racing with fish ive always wished i could have. these are just some of them. i cant decide wich ones i should do and i understand that a lot of these are not compatible with each other, i was hoping to get a wide variety of fish in the tank though.

Dang where is their a place where you live that has 73 feet of length?!?!?!?!?!

Well then I guess your right about how you can't put the fish in I suggested, CFC's tanks are probably taller and bigger than that. Why don't you put 100-200 neon tetras in the tank? :hey:

Thats a pretty good Idea.. Haha that would cost just as much as the tank though at about 2 dollars a piece

Durbkat- CFC will be getting a bigger tank soon, the aro is a jardini and needs a minimum of 180 gallons, and she doesn't have it any more, motoro's grow to 2' disk size- to big. You could go for one jag or 2 oscars or some severums or something else. It would be good if you would tell us the dimensions not just the vloume.
