say i have

1 red tailed shark
2 red wagtail platies
2 silver dollars
2 gold gouramis
2 cherry barbs
1 algae eater

in a 29 gallon tank

do u think i could add sum tetras nd if so,

what kind and how many?

If you do have these fish in a 29g I would advise you to return the red tail black shark and the sliver dollars because the red tail black shark gets really aggressivea and the silver dollars get to big for that size tank.

i think that was a polite way of him saying you will soon be overstocked if the shark doesnt eat everything

No I wasn't saying you would become over stocked but you are over stocked, a sliver dollar needs at least an 75g-80g and in a group of 4 and red tailed black sharks need a big tank since they are so aggressive it will give the other fish space to get away from the constant chasing. But if you got rid of/removed the silver dollars and red tailed black shark you could 2-3 more gold barbs.

I'd return them now anyway because there growth will be stunted when you think they are just growing slow. I really dislike people that get a fish knowing that they are going to get to big for the tank and then say they are going to return it then they don't saying they got attached to the fish and don't want to give it up which is normal for when you get a fish that doesn't out grow the tank. But when you have to return it in a few months you don't get to set up a bond with the fish.

ive already had the fish for almost a year nd im planning on getting a larger tank soon so when that happens ill simply transfer the silver dollars because the red tailed sharks is going in my 35 gallon next week

You'll have to cycle the 35g and it will need a bigger tank than that. Also the silver dollars are suppost to be way bigger than that in a year so they have already become stunted.

so back to my question can i put in ne tetras or not?

and once again if i can which ones and how many?

thanks

you shouldnt put any more fish in till you take back\get a bigger tank for the silver dollars and the RTBS.

once you take care of them, go to a fish store and make a list of the tetras you like and we can help pick wich ones will be the best for your tank\tanks.

No you can't add tetras because if you were paying attention to what I've said the fish you have will get to big for the tank and that should have told you you can't add fish to the tank. I also already told you what you could add to the tank and I said and I quote "once you got rid of/removed the silver dollars and red tailed black shark you could 2-3 more gold barbs."

i got a question how big does the rtbs get approximately?

and how about if i kept 1 silver dollar just i dont want to rid of all of them cuz theyre easy to take care of and they look nice

cuz i was thinking if i get rid of 1 silver dollar and put the other one and my rtbs in the empty 35 gallon i got

would that work or no?
