Hi,im wondering if i could get two rams in my rio 180,stock currently-15 cardinal tetra,8 guppys,2 mollys,4 platies?

Yes theres room for rams and how about some corys for the bottom and a bristlenose of a few otocinclus for clean up ?

Arnt bristlenose big?,or maybe some cihilds!

A bristlenose would be fine with a tank that size and the Rams are 'dwarf cichlids'
180L could quite easily house a pair of Rams along with your other fish as your other fish are mid-top dwellers, so Rams and a bristlenose would use the bottom of the tank and there would be room for all

Thanks i will go to lfs tomorro for some agassizs dwarf cichlid and a 15 more cardinal tetra,tank is heavy planted and cardinals look fantastic.

So did you mean the Apistos? (Agazzis)
Yes they would be fine too as a pair or even 2 females to 1 male. Please do be aware that even though the cardinals are mid-top they will add to the waste produced especially as you`re planning on doubling the numbers, you will have to keep a good eye on your water testing for the near future to make sure your levels of ammonia don`t increase drastically.
I may be wrong but as you are looking at doubling the number of cardinals you may well be better off forgetting about adding a plec, as they do add quite heavily to the waste

Ok i was not getting a plec as they dont apeal to me,just two of them cichlids and like u say double the tetras, i thought the tetras would hardly touch the bio balance but will keep eye on stats,

Ok i just got two german rams and two gold gormais,the man who was very god said no cichlids as they would rip my plants and push gravel around- lol,i got a load more plants and want to plant them,would the new fish be too stressed at mo or can i gently do a small wc and plant new plants without stressing them more???

the german rams ARE cichlids but they will not bother your plants, the same with most 'dwarf' cichlid species.

Do you have soft water in your tank? German rams are known to be very delicate and picky about their water and demand soft for them to survive and thrive.

Ph is 7.5 and i run co2,the lfs is only 2 min away so water should be same,ive had cardinals for over a year and are fine,
