i have an 8 gallon AquaOne 320 currently sitting empty, but running awaiting a new occupant.

pure endlers are the top of the list, but have yet to have someone confirm they have some to send me.

what else could i have for an 8 gallon (it's a square tank rather than long)

before you say betta, i already have 3 (in a 5g, 7.5g and an identical 8g), something different please!

Yay I second the DP suggestion or maybe killifish (I think it's big enough but not definate).

i've thought about DPs, but seeing as it's only big enough for 1 and they're so tiny (and hard to get hold of round here), i think i'd get frustrated hehe.

Everglades pygmy sunfish, Scoloplax empousa, trio of killifish, a red claw crab, a dwarf puffer, Shrimp, snails, adf's, bumblebee goby, micro rasboras, pygmy cories, oil catfish, peacock gobies, white cheek gobies.

A few to start with.

jayjay, some of those are brackish though aren't they? i've only ever had freshwater, don't quite understand brackish hehe.

i like the sound of those gobys though, always thought they were super cute.

2 of them are brackish, the red claw crab and bumble bee gobies. It's practically the same as FW, just you add marine salt to the water at changes instead of FW. Also you need a hydrometer/refactormeter to measure salinity.

There's are 100's of options you have, probably 1000's.

i might look into peacock gobies, i can't get my head round salinity right now.
thats if the gobys can handle my rock hard PH of london anyway. (about 7.5 sometimes 8 erk!)

salinity is the level of salt in the water. You use a hydro or refrcatormeter to measure it, you add salt till you get to the desired salinity.
