I'm fully planting a Vision 450L but this is the stock I want.

7 - 8 Discus
3 - 5 Gold Rams
3 - 5 Blue Rams
5 African Armoured Filter Shrimp
70 - 80 Cardinals

Is this too much, ideally I want the Cardinals and Discus as a defo and the shrimp dont take up much room.

However discus fish get Huge
And I mean huge I would reduce the amount the number of discuses if I was you. Also discuses require a very warm temperature which I'm not sure the cardinals would tolerate.

Discus require frequent large water changes compared to most fish. On a tank that big you are probably looking at doing around 900 to 1000 litres per week or more in water changes. If you are up for that much effort, enjoy your stocking.

I know a lot about Discus and they'll be fine with twice weekly 30% if fully planted as the water quality will be awesome.

I know the Discus get big hence the big tank lol, you can't really keep them in groups less than 5 - 6 as the bullying for pecking order needs to be spread.

The stock selection is fine, Cardinals are fine with 2 - 3c higher and Discus can be kept as low as 27 - 28 but colour better with higher temps.

I wanted to know if this sounds like to much for the tank size, in the past I've always kept 50L per Discus so in theory could have 9 but its the 7 Discus plus the others I'm worried about.
