my big female lost her baby stinger last night :) i was a bit worried coz it was getting a bit swollen and i thought something might be wrong,now she just has her new big stinger she looks great

and her new stinger in the bottom pic,its just over 3" long

very very interesting. I wasn;t aware that stingray's could do this.

Unfortunatly, my bamboo shrimp molted, and my senegal ate him, so my natural process didn't go so smooth.

haha... hate that.... a hope he enjoyed hsi treat... whilst your out a few bucks

adult stingrays replace their sting every year or so

i just netted it out,i i thought it was a bit of bogwood that had come away.
i have it wrapped in toilet roll like a kids first baby tooth :lol:
in the last pic if you look carefully the eel is poking his head in too above the bogwood :lol:

I though adults shed every 8, 9 months, rather than once a year, but im sure you know better than me lol

you could be right i read it was once a year tho,it probably depends on the fish as in diet and growth etc.anyone?
