Today i was experimenting with taking pictures from above the tank rather than from the side and captured what i think is a very nice picture of my stingray, the other fish didnt photograph nearly as well but i guess that down to a few million years of evolution to hide from terestial predators

Now that is beautifull!

When I went to the LFS they wanted 150 for a sexed pair......is that a good price?

Gorgeous ray - you have some amazing fish CFC.

Barday - that sounds like a good price for a pair to me.

How big is your ray?

About 8 inches across the disk.

When I went to the LFS they wanted 150 for a sexed pair......is that a good price?

Thats a amazing price, mine was marked at £100 for the one and i paid £90. What species were they and what size?

I do 25% water changes twice a week to remove the crap off of the sand and keep the nitrates below 40ppm, if the ray were not in there i could cut that down to just one 25% water change but i preffer to be safe rather than sorry.

Tell him he'll have to wait till he is 26 and pays his own electricity bill before he can have a 205

Must...not...go...stalk...CFC...and..steal..his...ray...must...remind...self...that..I...have...not...got...big..enough...tank...

Cor, that took some doing! Seriously nice! Now go away before I can't stop myself becoming a fish stalker! :p

He's a stunner. I really like the idea of rays, but I don't think I'd have the time to look after them properly. It's hard enough to keep up with the 3 "normal" tanks I have without having to have a RO water big tank as well!!
CFC while we're on the subject of price, I've seen a pair of Pimelodus ornatus at a shop near me, they're stunning fish, but they want £100 each or £180 for the pair. Do you reckon that is a decent price or not?

What size are they? £100 sounds very steep so they would have to be stunning full grown fish to comand that sort of money. They used to be a very expensive fish but in the last few years they have really come down in price, i paid £30 each for mine 18 months ago, Trimar has some 4" ones instock now for £16.50 each.

They look very similar to yours, and they were big too. Depending on where you live in london the place I saw them might be close to you............ Wildwoods in Cruise hill (Enfield, North London) - I dont know if you have ever been to Cruise hill, but for fish keepers it is must, there are about 5-10 LFS's on 1 road!!! :hyper:
