I'd really stay away from adding the neons, but obviously its your choice.

Extra filters are just a waste of time really IMO, just dont get the neons

No, I wasn't going to- like I said, I'd rather be understocked than try and stuff the tank. I just meant that having a second filter would give me more leeway if something went wrong- like if a fish died and I didn't notice or such, because even without the neons the tank is pretty full.

I'm paranoid and worry about stuff like that.
