Over the past few days, Steve has not really been acting himself. He's been almost mimicking the corys in that he keeps swimming up and down the wall of the tank like he's trying to find a way out. The only thing I could think of that would cause that is maybe the barometric pressure has changed but the weather's been the same for days. Also, he used to be a very clingy fish but now he's not paying much attention to me at all, he's far too preoccupied swimming up and down. Does anyone have any ideas what could be bothering him?

when I first added my endlers to my tank they did the same thing and payed no notice to food at all. it wore off after a while. they tand to do it when they are nervous or scared about something or when something in the water has changed. My mollys change their behaviour when my filters drop in flow, they swim around more and look you in the eye

I caught one of the otos flashing earlier. I'm starting to think there's a parasitic issue now. How do you treat for parasites when you don't know what parasite it is? I'm going on holiday on Thursday too. I don't really want to leave them while they're not acting right. :/

It could be some form of stero typical behaviour which animals learn when bored and have nothing to do they try to stay sane by rocking and other things like the swimming up an dwn the hight of ur tank

This is if its not anything else :)

I've just noticed scratch marks on Steve's side so he's obviously been rubbing on something too. I know something's wrong but I have no idea what. I have a microscope but the fish are all too small to get a scraping. It's hard to know what to do when I'm about to go away for a week :(
