I bought a 55 gallon about a year ago, fell out of the hobby and never got the tank off its feet. A year later, I got the urge to do it again, and I really did do it. I have a few pictures of when it first went up and then some that I just took a second ago.

Stocking:
3 Zebra Danios (had 6, but the other 3 were sickly looking and died off in the first few days.
2 Black Snails
1 Gold Snail
1 Sailfin Plecostomus
3 Baby Angelfish
2-3 Ghost Shrimp (had seven, but they disappeared, like ghosts!)

My sister says the bogwood looks like a dragon that fell over. It kind of does, and she says the fish slayed it.

Fish photos:
Pleco: really blury, he didn't like the camera, but now he's happily on the front glass where I could easily get a pic of him. But not 5 minutes ago noooo...

Angelfish: kinda blurry, my camera isn't that great sorry.

Comments and constructive criticism would be nice.

Thanks for looking.

I'd replace your Sailfin Pleco with a smaller plec right away... the can get quite huge. 20" huge. I'd get a bristlenose, which get bigger than some plecos but not huge.

I love live plants so I'd suggest live plants instead of fake, but whatever. Waht you have there does look nice. :)

Anyway, I like the natural look of things. It looks cool!

I'm thinking about taking it back, plus it does make a huge mess. I'm going to be getting more live plants when I get paid next Friday, but I might get some money on the side soon, so you might see an update soon.

wayne I noticed your bucket setting because my hubby says" whats all these bucket setting in the living for" like he can't see thats its the tools I use for my fish that i believe he is jealous of lol ;) I used to eat natural foods til i learned u could die from natural causes lol :hyper: By the way ur tanks are beatiful :good:

Yeah, that will soon be all covered, I think I'm going to be fabricating some doors so it will all get covered up. And thanks for the compliment.

The pots look excellent in your tank, I'm going to get some tomorrow. Any tips for cutting them, I dont have many tools at hand.

The pots getting cut, that was an adventure, um a Dremel Rotary tool, basically its just like a miniature saw, electric powered. Definately do it outside, it kicks up a lot of dust and wear goggles and long pants, it kicks out chips that when it hits you it feels like little pin pricks. I was cutting it while a friend stood behind me with a leaf blower trying to keep both of us from getting hit and keep the dust out of our eyes and nose. Just be careful.

Oh and if you cut it carefully enough, you can just use one pot, and just have the two halves.

Nice, looks great.Love the bogwood.I can really see the dragon lol.Looks like a horse from 1 way with its head lying down and the other it looks like a dragon kind of thing standing up in a caratae(sp) pose lol, seriously can know one else see?!

hm..may be you can put the heater behind the piece of bogwood to hide it?
Nice tank :good: I like the 4th pic

I could, but I don't have any realy place for the wire to come out there.

And cheesy feet, it could be a horse or a dragon I guess, but she said that it was a dragon laying down, hence the "slaying" of the dragon.

Looks really good Steve / Wayne / whatever your name is. :good:

I like the sand. Mine is yellow like beach sand. Yours is pure white. Looks really good. :good:

Yeh the white sand looks awsome. Love all the plants :good:
