Sterilizing Tank And Equipment

What is the safest way to sterilize a tank in which my betta died of unknown cause? Please advise..

I always buy baby sterilizing fluid and let it soak over night. You then have to rinse it very very well and then let it soak again with water and loads of dechlorinator.Hope that helps.

Iuse bleach. I scrub everything first and then soak it in bleach for about 10 minutes, and then just let clean water run through the tank until you cant smell bleach any more

I also use the babies bottle steriliser. Some people use hot saltwater and white vinegar as well.
