Sterilizing Rocks

I just went out and found some nice pieces of granite. I was wondering how long should I boil them for on a high heat? So far they've been going for about 20-25 minutes and are currently now soaking in the water after turning off the burner. Before hand I rinsed them of as best I could to remove any dirt and other debris.

as soon as the water boils the germs and that should be dead I boiled my rocks for about 10 mins. and they seem to be fine.
