My LFS got some of these in the other day and they just came off quarantine. I really like them, one of the prettiest cory's I have seen.
But I am worried about how they will do in my tank. Fish listed in tank. I have a pretty planted tank, so there isnt huge open area's, but there is an open area in the front. Also I have gravel bottom, its not sharp at all, its rounded, so I think they will be ok. And I was told they like shrimp pellets, but I jsut want to make sure.

Thanks.

The rams may be a huge problem. When the breed, they usually lay eggs on the floor, and will be come very protective over them. So when the harmless and defensless cories come strolling in, they'll be bullied and possibly hurt.

Hi Jeff000 :)

I've heard the same thing about rams. :/

C. sterbai are among the most beautiful of the cory's, IMHO. They are usually in great demand and often sell out quickly when they are available.

They do need water a little warmer than most corys, between 76 and 82 degrees F.

I wouldn't feed shrimp pellets though. Live or frozen worms, algae wafers and a good quality flake food with make them happy. Just be certain to keep the bottom very clean to keep them in good health. :D
